Important Note:
The In-App Wallet is created and stored locally on your smartphone. It is not automatically available on another device. If you switch smartphones, delete the app, or lose your device, you can only restore the wallet using your backup.
Features of the Coinfinity In-App Wallet
Our Bitcoin wallet includes the standard features of a wallet app. You can use it to receive, send, or perform a consolidation of your Bitcoin.
Receive: Receive Bitcoin via QR code or by copying your Bitcoin address.
Send: Send Bitcoin to other people or to a different wallet. You can set the network fees yourself (Fast/Medium/Slow) or configure custom settings. There is also a memo field for transaction notes.
Settings & Info: In the settings menu (gear icon, top right) you will find additional information about the wallet. We will continuously add new features here.
Buy Bitcoin directly into your own In-App Wallet
Purchase Bitcoin using the “Buy” button or from the main menu via the “Plus” button. During the purchase process, you can choose whether the purchased Bitcoin should be sent to your In-App Wallet or to an external address.
How to create your wallet in the Coinfinity App:
1. Download and update the app:
Download the Coinfinity app and create an account.
If you already have the app installed and do not see the "Wallet" option, simply update the app in the App Store or Play Store.
2. Discover new features:
After the update, you will see the new “Wallet” item in the menu bar. Here you can create a new wallet or import an existing one. We will first focus on creating a new wallet.
3. Create wallet:
Tap “Create Wallet” and follow the instructions. You will receive an individual recovery phrase consisting of 12 random English words. Make a backup by writing these words down — e.g. by hand on a piece of paper. Be sure to record them in the correct order. These 12 words contain your private key and serve as your emergency access to the Bitcoin in this wallet — no one except you should know them.

4. Security check:
Confirm a few words from your recovery phrase to verify the correctness of your backup (the 12 words). Your wallet is then created. You can now set up a savings plan or explore the wallet in more detail. Also note the derivation path, which you can find later in the wallet settings.
NOTE: This is only a sample recovery phrase! Please do not use the words from this screenshot under any circumstances — only write down the recovery phrase generated specifically for you when creating your wallet.
Importing Wallets
Importing a wallet is possible but should be done carefully. Entering your recovery phrase digitally carries risks. In the future, we will also support the import of watch-only wallets, so you can stack directly to your hardware wallet. By the way, the recovery phrase stored by you in the In-App Wallet can also be imported into other wallets.
Further Future Improvements
We are also working on further important features, such as: transaction export, RBF (replace-by-fee), autocomplete for BIP39 words, coin control, Card Wallet sweep, and much more.
We look forward to your feedback! What features would you like to see? Get in touch directly via the chat in the app (the small speech bubble in the top right corner).
Attention!
You are responsible for this wallet yourself. The In-App Wallet is created and stored locally on your smartphone. Coinfinity has no access to your Bitcoin or your private key and cannot restore the wallet for you.
If you log into Coinfinity on a different device, this wallet will not automatically be available there. A separate In-App Wallet can be created on each device. If you want to use the same wallet on a new or different device, you must restore it using your backup.
Even if the wallet is displayed as a verified wallet in your Coinfinity account or is selectable for purchases, this does not mean it is stored on that device.
